Schedule Appointment Commission Boediono SBY-October 20, 2009

Jakarta – General Elections Commission (KPU) has set a pair of SBY-Boediono as a vice presidential-election winner in 2009. Commission scheduled the inauguration of the next couple of SBY-Boediono as President and Vice President 2009-2014 on 20 October.

“Today the Commission to open a plenary meeting in order to establish partner-vice presidential candidate Boediono SBY-elected as a partner who will become president and vice president in five years. Then the Commission will make the inauguration as scheduled October 20, 2009,” said Commission member, Andi Nurpati .

This was submitted after the determination of Andi winning pair Presidential Election 2009, the Commission Building, Jl. Imam Bonjol, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (18/8/2009).

With the establishment of elected candidates, it means that the presidential election only lasted a lap. Andi also explains the legal basis of the decision of the Commission which set a lap presidential election.

“Basic law Act 42 of 2008 that only one round of the presidential election. In accordance with article 159 of Act 42 Year 2009 election that the winner is the candidate pairs with a national total of more than 50 percent of the distribution of more than 20 percent of the vote in at least 17 provinces. Andi also explains why the presence of several institutional stakeholders in implementing the Commission in 2009 elections. “The Commission must submit official report to the MPR, DPR, DPD, MA, MK, president, chief bearers of political parties, and the couple elected candidate,” he added.
